Admissions |
When the school first opened in September 2013, the governing body agreed to a one form entry of 30 pupils in its first two years and a two form entry thereafter. CPS has a published admission number (PAN) of 60 at the normal point of entry and this number is carried forward as the cohort moves through the school. The school is at its planned capacity as part of the funding agreement with the DfE, based on a bottom up growth strategy. |
Information for parents considering Cathedral Primary School for Reception intake 2026 |
Whether this will take place will be confirmed later in this academic year and is subject to DfE approval. The change would mean children joining Cathedral Primary School from September 2026 will be based at the Hotwells Primary School site for Reception, Year 1 and Year 2, then transfer to the current Cathedral Primary School site for the rest of their primary years. This change will not affect existing CPS students who entered the school in 2025 or before. Parents will need to bear this in mind when considering making an application for places for September 2026 and parents may wish to visit both sites. |
